Chaco Culture National Historical Park

Grants is a small town in western New Mexico, United States. It is one of the stops along the historic Route 66 highway west of Albuquerque, New Mexico's largest city. Long little more than a wide spot in the road, Grants expanded dramatically during the 1950s as a result of the discovery of rich uranium ore in the area. El Malpais National Monument

El Malpais National Monument is a United States National Monument that is located south of I-40 in northwestern New Mexico. The name (meaning "the badlands" in Spanish) comes from the rough, barren lava flow that makes up much of its terrain.
